Who We Are

Z Royal operates byzroyal.com and is the data controller responsible for your personal information. Our address is 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110, United States. You can reach us about privacy at byzroyal@outlook.com.

What We Collect

• Order information: when you check out, Shopify collects your name, email, phone number (if given), shipping and billing address, and the details of your order on our behalf. Payment card details are handled by Shopify and its payment processors. We never see or store your full card number.
• Newsletter: your email address if you join our list.
• Messages: your name, email and message if you contact us.
• Cart and wishlist: an ID for your cart and the products you save are stored in your own browser so they work between visits.
• Site analytics we run ourselves: pages you view, the site that referred you, campaign tags in links (UTM), device type, and approximate location (country, region and city, derived from your IP address by our hosting provider). This is linked to a random ID kept in your browser only for the current session. We don't store your IP address, and this doesn't use cookies.
• Only if you choose "Accept All" in our cookie banner: cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok, which collect information such as your IP address, device and browser identifiers, and how you use our site. Clarity may record how you move around a page (clicks, scrolls, mouse movement) to help us improve the design; it masks text you type. If you've accepted these cookies and join our newsletter, a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your email is sent to TikTok to measure our advertising.

How We Use It

• To send you marketing emails, only if you signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how the site is used and improve it.
• If you accepted advertising cookies, to measure our ads and show you ads on other platforms.
• To prevent fraud, keep the site secure, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Legal Bases (EEA and UK)

We process your information to perform our contract with you (orders and returns); with your consent (marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time); for our legitimate interests (running our own basic site analytics, security and fraud prevention); and to comply with legal obligations (for example, tax records).

Who We Share It With

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the store:

• Shopify: our store platform, checkout and customer records.
• Payment providers (Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay): to take payment.
• Shipping carriers: to deliver your order.
• Vercel: hosts this website and stores the messages you send through our contact form.
• Microsoft (Outlook): our support email inbox.
• Google, Microsoft (Clarity), Meta and TikTok: only if you choose "Accept All".

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business.

Selling, Sharing and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, if you accept advertising cookies, Meta and TikTok receive information about your activity on our site so we can measure and target ads. Under some US state laws (such as California's) this may count as "sharing" personal information or "targeted advertising".

You can opt out at any time by opening Cookie Settings (link at the bottom of every page) and choosing "Necessary Only". We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: if your browser sends it, advertising and analytics cookies are switched off automatically.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
• correct it if it's inaccurate;
• delete it;
• receive it in a portable format;
• object to or restrict certain processing (EEA and UK);
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing done before;
• opt out of targeted advertising or "sharing";
• appeal a decision we make about your request.

To use any of these rights, email byzroyal@outlook.com. We'll respond within 30 days, and may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorized agent. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights. If you're in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Marketing Emails

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can email byzroyal@outlook.com. We'll still send order-related messages such as shipping updates.

How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Order records are generally kept for the period tax law requires. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Information in your browser (cart, wishlist, cookie choice) stays until you clear it.

International Transfers

We are a US business and our team and service providers may process your information in the United States, Israel and other countries. Where information from the EEA or UK is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, as provided by our service providers.

Children

Our site and products are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and payments are processed through Shopify's PCI-DSS-compliant checkout. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and tell you directly if a change significantly affects you.
